Basic Surf Lesson Package

It’s hard to think of Hawaii and not think of surfing, especially on the North Shore. Whether you are just visiting Hawaii, have been here a while and have yet to experience the thrill of catching a wave, or it’s been a few years since your last session, Buttons Surf School offers safe, fun and flexible surf lessons for all skill and fitness levels. Even if you have surfed before, Buttons Surf School gives you the opportunity to surf with legendary Hawaiian surfer But­tons Kaluhiokalani, a pioneer of modern surfing.

Our 90 minute Basic Lesson Package is suitable for first-time and beginner surfers. We will customize the lesson to your skill and fitness level. On the day of your lesson we choose the break with the most suitable surf conditions for your skill level or needs.

Pricing per Hour:

• PRIVATE LESSON $150.00
• SEMI-PRIVATE LESSON (2 individuals) $75.00 per person
• GROUP LESSON (3+ individuals) $65.00 per person

Optional:

• Photo Package: We offer a Photo Package through our media affiliate, Freedom Riding. Packages start at $150.00 for 2 hours and unlimited photos. Further arrangements can be made with the photographer on site.

Sunset Surf Package for Advanced and Expert Surfers

If you are an advanced or expert surfer who wants to challenge bigger waves on the North Shore, Buttons is available to act as your personal guide to several of the North Shore’s premier waves, including Sunset, Rocky Point and Waimea Bay. Buttons will provide information about the lineup, currents and other hazards, and “have your back” while he surfs with you. Rates start at $150.00 for 90 minutes, conditions permitting.
